How can I use PRTG to provide status of a business service?

Votes:

I would like to be able to use custom sensors to provide a granular indication of a business service status. For example, mail: Is the server overloaded: CPU high, memory load, available disk, etc.

The system can gather it, but how can I use custom sensors to give red, yellow, green indication as the system becomes more taxed? The examples and knowledge base are close but not specific enough. Need a way to indicate levels per system resource status. One of the indicators above threshold, yellow indicator; more than one above threshold, red indicator.

You can use the Sensor Factory to put your business service into sensor form. More about the sensor can be found in the manual entry. It should be what your looking for :)

You can set limits independent from the original sensors, create custom rules when the sensor should error, etc. :)
