Hi,

You can use the SNMP Traffic Sensor to monitor the interfaces of your router. If you want to add a sensor for each device which is plugged in for the first time, you can use the Auto-Discovery and schedule when the discovery should run.

This will work with all auto-discovery settings:

  • Automatic device identification (standard, recommended)
  • Automatic device identification (detailed, may create many sensors)
  • Automatic sensor creation using specific device template(s) (after creating a template with the SNMP Traffic Sensor)

PRTG will create a new sensor if there was any traffic on the interface.

Best regards
