Monitoring Azure Health with PRTG

Hi there,

Despite a number of previous requests around this, it appears that the third party sensor has disappeared. Does Paessler have plans to implement Azure monitoring natively within PRTG any time soon?

Thanks,

Stuart

Dear Stuart Meeks

Please don't expect dedicated Azure sensors in the foreseeable future. That does not mean that we will never offer such sensors, but we have currently other features on our list for upcoming PRTG releases.

Dear aineiasm

Azure sensors are still not on our feature list.

As with clouds getting more and more important, we of course have Azure on our radar. I personally don't expect sensors for Azure this year, however.

I wanted that feature badly too. However, I have come up with a work around.

Using CloudMonix Azure Virtual Network Monitoring http://cloudmonix.com/features/azure-management/azure-virtual-network/ for monitoring Azure virtual networks. They do also have support for other Azure resources too.

But for sure, cast my vote in for PRTG for Azure capabilities - though this year its nothing as Arne told.

The first of many Azure sensors has been released in version 20.4.63.1412.

You can find details about the Microsoft Azure Virtual Machine Sensor here: https://www.paessler.com/manuals/prtg/microsoft_azure_virtual_machine_sensor

Please have a look at the roadmap for more details of upcoming Azure sensors.
