Monitor availability of a WebService

Hello, my customer needs to monitor the availability of certain Web Services they have published for their costumers to consume. Can this be done using PRTG?

That depends - you can use the various HTTP sensors to check plain HTTP availability or use the HTTP XML/Rest sensor to check for certain values returned by the webservice :)

Thanks Stephan. I did try the HTTP Transaction Sensor. I tested it against various open Web Services (I googled for "open web services") and the sensor does show them as "UP", so it seems to work. I yet have to have my client try it against their own web service and test what happens when the service is brought down. Thank you very much.
