Problem with windows updates

Votes:

Hello,

we have an issue with windowsupdate sensors giving an error "Timeout caused by wait for mutex (code: PE035)". The servers that it needs to scan are rather slow and I think it is giving a timeout on the sensor. Where do I begin investigating this? I've put the scanning interval to 12 h.

How can I adjust the timeout value of that sensor ?

Thank you for your feedback.

Didier

Hello,

Just talked to our developers and it turned out that we enhanced the Windows Update Sensor within our latest preview version and enhanced the Mutex handling of the sensor. The fix will be integrated in the version 15.x.19.x of PRTG.

Unfortunately I can't give any estimated release dates for this. Just keep an eye on the release notes

Please bear with us.

We are having this same issue. Windows Updates on some servers are in an alarm state - PE035 Timeout called for wait of mutex

Has the fix been released yet?
