How i can add a cisco router and monitor the incoming and outgoing IP's traffic ?

i want to know the incoming and outgoing traffic, and for which IP is this traffic, i tried to make it, but with no data yet !!! .. can any one help me :)

If the device in case supports NetFlow, you could use NetFlow sensors to monitor this traffic based on IPs. See NetFlow sensors.
