Unable to log into PRTG homepage - AJAX error

Good afternoon

We're reciving the below error when opening PRTG. We are able to load the page if we goto https://serverIP/dashboard.htm but the home page will not open.

I have restarted the PRTG Core Server service and this has not resolved the issue.

The sensors are working and everything else seems to be operating normally, apart from when trying to open

http://*ServerIP*:8880/wingui.htm?action=%2Fcontrols%2Fsensoroverview.htm%3Fid%3D2647

Ajax Error (Bad Request)

14.2.9.1799 Sorry, there is no object with the specified id. Server: 10.50.1.61:8880 URL: /controls/sensoroverview.htm?id=2647&_hjax=true&wingui=true?undefined Time: 14:56:39

Looks to be a sensor it is trying to load which no longer exists in the system. Is it possible to reset the home page to remove this sensor?

Resolution:

It appears, if you create a sensor, set that sensor as your homepage sensor (I.e. whenever you open PRTG, that is the first sensor to view) but then delete that sensor, you will get the above error message.

To get past this, change the URL to the following

https://*ServerIPorHostname*:port#/dashboard.htm

e.g. https://PRTGServer:8880/dashboard.htm

Then you can go to Home (top left) -> Make this my homepage

It will then default to the Dashboard and allow access.

Alternatively, go to Setup -> Account Settings -> My account and change the homepage to your preference in there.

*PRTG* - can you please include in next release that if a sensor is removed but set as homepage that the home page attribute automatically changes back to a default page.

Thank you.
