Microsoft SQL v2 Sensor question

When adding a Microsoft SQL v2 Sensor it states that .Net4.0 is needed on the machine that is running the PRGT Probe.

In the case of a default installation does this refer to the local probe where PRGT was installed? or does the Microsoft SQL V2 Senor require the installation of a remote probe?

Hi Jesse,

Every PRTG Core Server comes with its own Local Probe. Technically, this is the same as a Remote Probe. So in this case it depends on which Probe is used to perform the SQL query. In your case, the .NET Framework will need to be installed on the Core Server itself.
