What's the different between Custom OID and Walkt (SNMP error # 223)

Hello, I'm trying to add custom OID's but suddenly some of them are not providing information. The OID is : 1.3.6.1.4.1.2011.2.63.2.4.1.1.2 (Type :Delta "unsigned)

When i'm testing it via SNMP Tester by Custom OID I'm getting error message :

How can i add this sensor in PRTG ? which SNMP sensor should i use to get information in real-time ?

Hi Zimmer

1.3.6.1.4.1.2011.2.63.2.4.1.1.2 itself has no return but many subOID's, isn't that why you don't get any return values?

in this case you might try to i.e. use the SNMP Get on the OID

1.3.6.1.4.1.2011.2.63.2.4.1.1.2.51.103.46.103.101

This will return 50849 regarding to the Walk:

10/7/2015 3:37:59 PM (84 ms) : 1.3.6.1.4.1.2011.2.63.2.4.1.1.2.51.103.46.103.101 = "50849"

Good Day Thomas, I'm using Paessler MIB Importer V3 to get the values like this : 1.3.6.1.4.1.2011.2.63.2.4.1.1.2 And, yes, it's under the group which is "1.3.6.1.4.1.2011.2.63.2.2.1.1.1" So in that case without the Walk logs, how can i identify the right values under the group ? Sorry if this question is not professional, but, could you explain for me ?

Hello Felix, Wow, probably i was off that didn't saw it, cause the values in Paessler MIB Importer was different and i didn't expect to see other ones in walk messages. Based on output, which sensor you can suggest me to use ? Custom library ? Custom OID ? or Custom string ?

I'd prefer the Custom Library. You can follow this guide to create an oidlib to add an SNMP Library Sensor afterwards.
