Poll information once without wasting sensors

We would like to add a device and poll information from it like Name, Type, Serial, Location with SNMP but we do not want that information to be hold within a sensor. So is there a possible way to automate the process within PRTG to poll that information once and then save it in the comment or tag section and not needing to waste sensors?

That's currently not possible within PRTG I'm afraid.
What you could do to get this result would be a custom script/application that reads those values over SNMP and uses PRTG's API to set the content of the "comments" tab.

More details about PRTG's API can be found within PRTG under Setup > PRTG API (Object Manipulation Tab)

Best Regards,
