I'm trying to set a sensor up to monitor a external https site but all I get is the following error message,

Error establishing secure connection [TLS10-12] Socket Error # 10061 Connection refused. [TLS10] Socket Error # 10061 Connection refused. [SSL3] Socket Error # 10061 Connection refused. [SSL2] Socket Error # 10061 Connection refused.

I've tried using both the standard HTTP and HTTP Advanced sensor types.

The site is up, I've even tried to set the monitor to https://www.google.co.uk

Version: PRTG network Monitor 15.3.18.3616+

Sometimes the Socket Error # 10061 is caused by a firewall or an anti-virus software on the local computer or network connection. Check if some ports are blocked.
Are you able to call the sites from your PRTG Server?

Thanks for the reply, it turned out to be a proxy authentication issue
