webserver stress tool 8 and self generated SSL certificate

I just started using webserver stress tool 8 and found the errors below. Can it be due to a self generated SSL certificate? Is there a way to avoid them?

Dear Jhleite

The webserver stress test tool is no longer in development. Failed accesses can have many reasons like unsupported SSL ciphers.

I am sorry, we will not change or improve the webserver stress tester anymore.
