Remote probe

When I create a sensor an a local probe how does it knows that it should run the check via the remote probe. Is this a setting witch I can choose at the sensor settings?

Hi Clemens,

PRTG has got a hierarchic tree structure. All objects will be monitored by the parent remote probe. If you want to send the query from the remote probe, simply move the device below the remote probe group in PRTG. Objects located on the local probe will only be monitored from the core server machine. For more details, kindly follow this link.
