SNMP Library Interface Description Updates

Hello, we have a custom SNMP library that monitors a interface counter and uses ifalias for the description. Is it possible to have the SNMP Library sensor update the ifalias description automatically similar to how this is donw with the SNMP traffic sensors built in to PRTG?

Hello,

this is not possible at the moment in a custom SNMP sensor, sorry.

The demand for such a feature is sow low, that it is unlikely that you will see this in PRTG any time soon.

Is it possible with some other sensor type or to do this with a custom program/API call?

sorry this is not supported in SNMP Library sensors.
