Hi,

we've two PRTG services with two differet versions. 7.2.4 and 7.3.5. when trying to connect to the 7.3.5 version with the GUI it requires to update the GUI software. after re installing the GUI we can connect to the 7.3.5 but can't connect to the 7.2.4. is there a way touse the same GUI for both versions ?

Thanks,

Hello,

the version of your PRTG Server and the PRTG WinGUI have to match. It is not possible to use different versions, this may result in exceptions or crashes in PRTGs webserver.

Best Regards.

Hi,

isn't there backward support for the GUI ?

is it possible to upgrade the PRTG server with no downtime ?

Thanks,

Liad

As said, it has to be same version between PRTGs WinGUI and Server.

I'm afraid Updating/Upgrading PRTG will always cause a small downtime, as the executable files need to be updated/exchanged. This can't be avoided.

Liad,

You can always run the other PRTG GUI in Windows 7 XP mode if you have the possibility. Unfortunately you see two notifiers on your desktop area. Search the Internet for installation instructions at the following link:
