Increse Notification Timeout

Is it possible to increase the notification time-out for a http notification?

We like to call a script with the notification http action. In some cases the script takes longer than 30 seconds to perform because it waits for external input.

After the input is given the script calls a http redirect to acknowledge or pause an alarm for a given time with a PRTG API call. If this happens within about 30 seconds all is working fine. If it takes more time PRTG ignores the redirect. Now I'm looking for a way to increase the time-out to 300 second.

Kind regards Christoph

Hi Christoph,

The default timeout of HTTP notifications cannot be changed. You can create a script by choosing the "Execute Program" option. This will allow you to set a timeout.

Best regards, Felix
