Dears,

I set the monitoring CPU sensor scanning internal for 2 minutes. But I found that the sensor sometimes will take reading in 1 minute internal. It is sometimes happened when the alert limit hit for the CPU sensor, but sometimes not.

Would anyone can help to explain the mechanism/policy of CPU sensor? Thanks a lot.

Hi Daniel,

PRTG will directly schedule another scanning attempt if the first scan fails. This re-scan will not be performed if the sensor goes down if a limit was passed.

Next to this, the scans should be performed closely after the scanning interval.

Best regards, Felix
