How to modify Unsual detection

Votes:

0

I'm now using PRTG for about 1.5 years. Some weeks ago, something happened (on the probe device or the network in general) and since then, all my RDP sensors have permanent messages for "Unusual 1 hour average...".

I know from several answers in this KB, that you can modify the settings (limits, disable), but this doesn't help. As an example, RDP resonse time changed from 120ms to 6ms. It's not question why, but I want to use the RDP sensor in a normal way under this condition.

Is there any way to modify the period for the unsual detection without deleting the complete history (graph cache)? Do I have to wait one year until the old data is purged from the database?

It can be configured system wide under http://<your-prtg-server>/systemsetup.htm?tabid=2,
in the Unusual detection section. Other than that there's now option for configuring them otherwise or on a sensor/device level.
