Feature request: Updating of software reserved for Admins only

Votes:

0

We have ran into a issue several times where users who are not local admins but that have the ability to pause and add sensors can also update the core software. Can the ability to update software be only for admins that have the ability to add probes and create users? When other users have the ability to update the software, it causes unexpected production downtime.

Dear Samuel

Read/write users have the ability to change some settings, but should not be able to run the auto-update, unless they are in the Administrator user group.

Thank you for the reply. We require our users who would be read/write to be able to pause sensors but cannot and when we change their access to Administrator they can, but then also enables them to accidentally update the software via popups.

Dear Samuel

Read/write users should be able to pause sensors (and even delete sensors) if they are in a user group which has write access for that object. Please check if those objects (please begin with the Root node) allow write access for the user group of your read/write users.
