SNMP Trap message in SMS notification?

Votes:

Hello. In relation to all the sensors changes, that recent versions have introduced - is there a way to have prtg send the last trap text message in sms notification? %trapmessages and %traperrors works only with email. Same goes with Syslog sensors too, btw.

Due to the potential length of a trap message and the SMS limitation of 160 characters, we probably won't implement this. Sorry!

Well, that's it then. Funny thing is, we had this working before new SNMP trap sensor. Not sure how, and what changed, but I still have those SMS. This was really usefull to know what one ups (of 50+ total) had it's battery worn out. P.S> Looks like those SMS were generated by on-change triggers.

It's possible that the limitation wasn't there in the past; could you switch to mail2sms based notifications? Then you could use the %trapmessages placeholder in a text based mail...
