Multi-Site Monitoring

Hi, We need to monitoring a company with 4 remote offices. We don't have VPN connection between the diferent sites. Its possible to configure remote probes on 4 of the remote sites, and put them sending information to the Core Server allocated in one of them? I'm thinking publishing the core ports need to remote prove to connect. It will work?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Lui,

PRTG requires an open TCP port 23560 for the Core to Probe connection. Kindly follow this link for more details.

Hello Dean,

We'll require log files of the remote probe as well as from the core server to see what's causing the connection issues.

  • Core Server: C:\ProgramData\Paessler\PRTG Network Monitor\Logs (System)\PRTG Core Server Log (1/2).log
  • Remote Probe: C:\ProgramData\Paessler\PRTG Network Monitor\Logs (System)\PRTG Probe Log (1/2).log
  • Screenshot of the "Setup > System Administration > Core & Probes" page

If there is a (2) log file, please forward both files. If you changed the data directory, you can find the path via the PRTG Administrator Tool on the PRTG host below the "Core Server" tab.

Please forward the requested files to [email protected] by referring to this post.

Best regards, Felix
