Migration to new PRTG instance

Hi, We currently have an instance of PRTG residing on legacy physical hardware, I would like to understand what the process is for migration from one instance to another, mainly can a probe (including devices and sensors that is is monitoring) be migrated to the instance without any loss of data? i.e. they do not need to be recreated

Hi there,

we have a detailed migration guide. If you mean remote probes, then you only have to change the actual IP in the administration tool after the migration; that is, if the IP changes.

When migrating, all historic data and configuration will be migrated as well.
