Is it true that there's still no sensor that can handle ASA IKEv2 Tunnels?

Is there still no sensor that can handle Cisco ASA IKEv2 Tunnels automatically? Do we still need to use that clumsy workaround released way back in 2013, creating each and every tunnel sensor manually?

Hello Peter,

I'm afraid that there is no update. The Cisco ASA VPN Sensor will not work since the ASA behaves differently if the security is changed to IKEv2 and will return the internal IP address instead of the correct target address. We unfortunately cannot tell you why the devices behaves like that, but using the device template will be the only way to monitor the IKEv2 tunnels, sorry.

Best regards, Felix

for those of us that are not familiar with "that clumsy workaround" - could someone post a link? I have a couple of ikev2 tunnels that we need to monitor.

thank you.
