You can use the SNMP Custom String sensor and check the following OIDs:

  • Cisco 2960/3750 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.5.1.2.19.0 (might be deprecated), 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.5.1.2.17
  • Cisco ASA 1.3.6.1.2.1.47.1.1.1.1.11
  • Catalyst 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.3.6.3

Those were the only ones I've found regarding serials on cisco devices :( You might want to ask the guys at Cisco where to obtain it for your specific device. Feel free to share what you get :)

Maybe take a look here: http://networkengineering.stackexchange.com/questions/2900
However, putting them into a sensor probably won't work since we can't display it correctly.
