Thank you very much for your support ticket. Updating such an old PRTG installation is very tricky, and may not be successful. So I would definitely leave the old installation "untouched".
I would perform one try to migrate only the configuration file and historic data to the new machine. So:
- Install a new PRTG version on a new machine.
- Stop all PRTG services, both on old and new installation
- Only copy the "PRTG Configuration.dat" and "Monitoring Database"-subfolder from the old to the new installation (overwriting the according objects on the new installatio).
- Restart all PRTG Services.
If this then does not bring up the new PRTG installation successfully, with all objects and data from the old one, please create a new setup from scratch with assistance of Auto-Discovery, etc..
