SNMP Error 223

Hi all,

I have three identical routers with the same SNMP configuration.

I have been trying to add a standard SNMP sensor to monitor bandwidth usage etc.

One of the devices is working fine but the other 2 continue to give me a 223 error.

I have tried to do an SNMP walk on the two devices and can see results OK. On that limited basis it looks like the SNMP is 'working' but I do not understand why the sensor is reporting no such instance.

Woudl appreciate any suggestions on how to fix or troubleshoot this issue.

Could you post the result of the walks? Please put them between { { { and } } } to improve readability (without the whitespaces between).

Could you change the active channels in the settings, so that there's only in and out traffic enabled? Does it work then?

Hi Stephan - yes. If I disable all the optional channels and only have traffic in/out enabled the sensor does work.

When I re-enable the optional channels the sensor reverts to the 233 error.

What does that indicate? I can live withou the additional channels in the short term but would like to be able to monitor all channels on these services.

This indicates that the device doesn't expose all optional channels. Enable them one by one to see which one causes the error. Disable the other ones that work and you'll be good to go :)
