We are looking to add the OID to the views on our n4000 dell switches to monitor the traffic. We added the prtg monitor but get a No such instance (SNMP error # 223). Does anyone know the OID so we can enable it on the switches?

Hello ledgar,
thank you for your KB-post.

The SNMP Traffic Sensor within PRTG uses data from the following OID's (and sub-OID's):

NameOIDMIB
ifTable1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2SNMP MIB-2 Interfaces
ifXTable1.3.6.1.2.1.31.1.1ifMib
sysUpTime1.3.6.1.2.1.1.3.0SNMP MIB-2 System

If you're encountering the following error message:

No such instance (SNMP error # 223)

Consider deploying the sensor with it's default configuration first, then enable the Additional Channels individually and saving each time, this will allow you to figure which OID/Channel is not supported by your device. The default setting of the sensor is supported by the majority of devices that support SNMP.

Best Regards,
