Need an application to manage Wireless and LAN Access

Dear PRTG team,

I need a solution to do the following on a LAN with wifi points - Enable providing access of devices to the LAN directly and through Wifi - Configure and limit internet usage per device granted access to a specific bundle e.g(200MB, 500MB, 1GB) etc. - Monitor usage of device granted access and cut connectivity when usage reaches the set limit. - Devices can be granted access after approval by system admin e.g after paying for another bundle.

Question - Can PRTG solve my problem out of the box? - What kind of sensor would I need to setup this solution - I expect to have about 200 users on the network maximum using the following devices(smart devices e.g phones, tabs, personal computers and desktops)

Please advise if PRTG can provide this solution and if possible put me in touch with a technical person to help me with this feedback

Dear Pwalera,

I'm afraid that PRTG is probably not the best solution to achieve a bandwidth control of your wireless network devices. Most manufacturers of access points and controller based WiFi solutions will offer a native feature to control the bandwidth per device. If you want to monitor information like bandwidth and the health of network devices in general, feel free to install a trial version of PRTG to see if it suites your needs.
