Bind DNS on Solaris

Good Day,

I wish to monitor and build stats based on Bind DNS on a Solaris 11 System,A graph which basically displays querries send,received failed etc. Is it possible to achieve this with PRTG Network Monitor and is there a thread\link i can use to test with the trial version.

Hello,

Thank you very much for your KB Post. I'm very much afraid PRTG does not have a native sensor to monitor 'performance metrics' of a BIND DNS service. It would be necessary to use a self written script running as a custom exe sensor to do this.
An alternative could be the SSH Script Advanced Sensor, which connects to the target using SSH, then runs a script on the target machine (which should gather the values from the DNS service) and then returns the values back to PRTG.
