Can I create a sensor template from an SNMP table sensor?
I want my switches to track based on the IOS assigned value of "Te1/1/4" and not the ifindex. I have a lot of switches to add this sensor to and dont want to do it again and again and again. Thanks

Hello,

Yes, the SNMP Custom Table sensor can be saved to a device template and used with Auto-Discovery. During the auto-discovery it will deploy one sensor for each table row.

As for the "identification column", it can be any element(column) available in the table, it should be unique for best results. For usage instructions please review:

Please note however that you can achieve the very same thing with the standard SNMP Traffic Sensor. This sensor is also flexible regarding the 'identification column' (see the Port Identification setting) and can also have a Port Name Template to define exactly how the sensor will look like when deployed. The default is:

([port]) [ifalias] [ifsensor]
