How to add interfaces with a certain description on the port?

Hi, I want to create an autodiscovery template that allow me to discover just the switch interfaces that contains a particolar description decided by me. For example all the interfaces that contains the description "UPLINK TO" or "DOWNLINK TO" discarding the others. Using the normal SNMP Traffic Sensor it is not possible do that so I've create a custom template that contain the "XML Custom EXE/Script sensor". I've found the instruction at this link "https://kb.paessler.com/en/topic/70882-can-i-use-a-generic-meta-scan-for-any-sensor-type" but now my problem is write the .bat file that should select the correct interfaces (the ones with the right description). From the examples given by PRTG I found some script but they always give back channels with static values. Someone of you have some other example that could help me? or know some usefull function for this case?

custom-script-exe meta-scan snmp

Hello,

Since the traffic sensor uses it´s own metascan, unfortunataly it´s currently not possible to create a generic metscan for this sensor type. This request is still on our wishlist, but not yet implemented. I also can't give any ETA about it, sorry :( But I tagged your ticket as a feature request and your vote for the implementation is therefore counted :)
