Feature request; colom scale or shift

we have a lot of sensors, usually the coloms are

Sensor:Status: Message: Graph: etc...

now are the first 3 colom's 70% of the table with the Sensor name colom (in our case) is full and no means to scale the tables.

Making the colom status and message smaller and sensorname larger would be really nice!

colom name size

Dear stijnpeeters

Thank you for the feedback. Please don't expect any changes in the near future, though, as the current auto-scaling works quite well in most situations.

We don't want to add complexity with manual scaling. Instead, we try to compute a good-looking and easy to use automatic column width. When we test PRTG, we see that the current solution is not always optimal. While we have no specific plans yet, we work on our interface on a quite regular basis. In 2014 for example we made a lot of changes to get a better placements of interface elements on wide-screen monitors, while still keeping a usable interface for 4:3 and 5:4 monitors.

For the next iteration, we are still collecting feedback like yours. Because we get conflicting suggestions, the result will not the optimal for everyone. We aim for a good layout which provides the best usability for a typical PRTG installation.
