PRTG HTTP-API for Libraries

Votes:

0

Hi Experts,

I have started using the PRTG HTTP-API and noticed no documentation talking about Libraries in regards to the API calls.

Is there any sort of support for libraries in the API?

If so what would be some examples of it being used?

I might look into having a script that I made that grabs sensor data from all sensors, to grab from all sensors in a specific library, if that is supported.

api http http-api prtg web-api

Hello,

Libraries are very complex and therefore, the effort to create sufficient API calls to allow configuration changes, which provide the same variety of settings as the web interface, is very high. Every internal change of the library feature will not only require an adjustment of the API call itself, but it will also require an updated documentation. Due to the complexity of the library structure, future changes to the API calls are very likely to happen (even on very short notice). Therefore, I'm afraid that these API calls will not be integrated and/or the existing internal ones will stay internal and not publicly documented.

Best regards, Felix

Hello, Has anything changed here? Would be really nice if the object id's of sensors showing up in a library could be grabbed via API somehow.

Hi,

Currently we cannot provide new information for this as the topic will not be integrated in the future as Felix Saure already mentioned in his post.
