I've spent the last 20 min trying to add a simple PING sensor to a certain IP address, but theres NO option only pings itself which is NOT useful for Internet Downtime. I need it to ping a specific IP/Domain. How do I do this? Theres NO option.

Hi Hunterspad,

You can create a new device in PRTG and assign an IP address to this device, this might also be a host with a public IP address.

Afterwards, simply add a new sensor to this host and choose the "Ping Sensor".

Best regards, Felix
