IPFIX sensor with multiple sources

Hello,

We want to send IPFIX flows from several devices. Door do we need to run each flow to a different port or do we run all the sensors on one port with the source IP setting being enough to send the data to applicable sensor? Thanks.

Both approaches will work. Whatever works best for you :)

Thanks. We have that working now on from three different devices with each on its own port. These are all SonicWall firewalls and none of the three show anything for Top Protocols, just 100% "Other". Any idea what would cause that?

Did you try the detailed mode for the various channels in the sensor settings?

Well that requires me to know what protocols I want to chart. We want the flow to see what protocols are using the bandwidth.

Well you need to discern it first. Only a detailed other channel might give you an idea of the guilty culprit here. Otherwise, you may need to use wireshark first in order to know what the large amount of traffic consists of.
