SMS alerts with PRTG

Hi,

I have PRTG running to monitor multiples servers, and I want PRTG to send me and other people SMS text message notifications. I understand that it is necessary third software but I need to know what software (name) allows send SMS text message to multiple person!! (Not just one)

I hope you can help me with this problem.

Hello RubenCR,

Thank you very much for your KB-post.

Usually, all default SMS service provider which are available in PRTG under Setup >> System Administration >> Notification Delivery >> SMS DELIVERY >> Service Provider allow to send SMS messages to several receivers.

Under Setup >> Account Settings >> Notifications [your notification] >> SEND SMS/PAGER MESSAGE >> Send to Number you can enter one or more comma separated phone numbers. The format depends on your SMS provider.

Usual rules are: Start phone numbers with '+', followed by the country code. Do not use spaces in phone numbers.

Note: Double-check the number format with the requirements of your SMS provider. A number in the wrong format may result in undelivered messages!

Ok. And, are there any SMS service provider free compatible with PRTG?

Actually, we cannot recommend any free SMS service provider, I´m afraid. All default SMS service provider which are available in PRTG are with costs.
