field[filter] - how does it work ?

I set up the sensor SNMP Trap Receiver. I want to see Warning status, if trap contains words Busyout. Trap looks like:

  • SNMPv2-MIB::snmpTrapOID.0 = G700-MG-MIB::cmgMgBusyout
  • G700-MG-MIB::cmgTrapSubsystem.0 = HW
  • G700-MG-MIB::cmgTrapOnBoard.0 = no
  • G700-MG-MIB::cmgTrapLocation.0 = 149V

Му warning filter: bindings[Busyout] not working.

I need an exact match or the text should be contained in the message?

sensor snmp snmptraps

Dear tvaavt,

Thank you for your KB-post.

Please use the following binding bindings[1.3.6.1.4.1.6889.2.9.1.5.2.2.54] instead, because "G700-MG-MIB::cmgMgBusyout" is only the translation of the OID "1.3.6.1.4.1.6889.2.9.1.5.2.2.54" (as you can see here).

In case that this binding still does not work, please open a ticket, using the Ticket-ID PAE827523, and forward us screenshots of the tabs "Overview", "Messages" and "Settings" of your SNMP Trap Receiver sensor.

Best regards,
Sven
