MD3620i monitoring issue

Hi,

We have a Dell MD3620i SAN. It has 2 controllers with 2 different IP address. I'd like to be able to monitor both controller as being the same device in PRTG since it is one device basicaly.

Is this something possible to have more than one IP per device ?

If not, how are you managing SANs with 2 controllers with 2 different IP address ? Do I need to add a new device in PRTG with the second controller IP address ? And if that's the case, can both device be sorta linked togheter so no alerte is created if a LUN suddently changes of controller ?

I hope you do understand my question. I'm not sure how to explain my issue and I'm pretty new to PRTG.

Thanks for your inputs !

Hi there,

Unfortunately, it is not possible to create a device with two IP addresses within PRTG. Please create a new device and its sensors for each IP address. The main reason why this option is not available, is due to how the data should be presented as it could be different from IP to IP.

Best regards.
