Installed Trial version, has passed 30 days, now says Disconnected.

After successfully installing the trial version of PRTG, set up multiple sensors. Before the 30-day limit, I reduced the number of sensors to below 100 (currently 91). After the 30 days, it continued to run for a couple of weeks. BUT now it says Disconnected for the Status of the Core Probe\Server and no data is being collected. One installation on one physical server, Win2003 SP2 32-bit. Please advise on how to fix this where it will run the stated 100 sensors or less for the stated FREE of charge for the stated period of FOREVER.

This is probably just a problem with the probe service. Has the PRTG server itself been restarted? Or at least both the Core and Probe service? What PRTG version are you currently running?

Thanks for the quick response!

Yes, the Core and Probe services had been restarted this morning. I went to restart the physical server just now and it hung (luckily just an old test server). After the hard boot, had to restart Core and Probe services via Administration Tool. Now sensors showing data. Had put in new Free key after restarting Core and Probe services (via web console) this morning but still showed as expired. However do now see Licensed Edition as "... Freeware (Trial Expired)".

PRTG Core version 17.1.28.1032

Is there a recommended restart schedule for the Core and Probe services and\or the physical server?

You should be all set now regarding the license. Please update your PRTG to the latest version available via auto update, as yours is prone to probe/core crashes, unfortunately.

Afterwards, it should stable again :)
