Top 10 lists from VMware VCenter

We have a VMWare ESXi cluster controlled by a VSphere server.

We are looking to create a top 10 list, ideally to display on a map of:

Virtual servers by “CPU Usage” Virtual servers by “Network Received” Virtual servers by “Network transmitted”

VMWare VCenter is a device. There is a sensor representing each virtual server. Within each sensor “CPU Usage”, “Network Received” and “Network Transmitted” are each Channels.

The default top 10 by the group that VCenter is in (and only VCenter is in) only shows; Best Uptime and Worst Downtime everything else including HIGHEST BANDWIDTH USAGE is empty.

This seems like something everyone would want to do but I’ve drawn a blank and any pointers will be appreciated.

Kind regards

Rich

Hi there,

Unfortunately, this is natively not possible as the Top10 list only consists of the primary channels of one-purpose sensors, such as "CPU Load", "Ping", "Memory"...
You can however query the sensor channels and their values by using the following post. This way you can build your own application which queries these data and displays your desired information.

Best regards.
