Downtime reset

We are using PRTG to monitor a device or two across a few 100 sites. We also need to do reporting on these to show how long a device has been down for. We have noticed that sometimes a site may be down for a month then something like the probe is reset (or any other event that means there isn't 100% coverage for the sensor) and all of a sudden the downfor stat is reset. This means reports are saying a device has been offline for 2 days when really it has been down for a month or so.

Is there anyway disregard these anomalies?

Hello,

thank you for the KB-Post. Can you share some screenshots, that show to which exact metrics in PRTG you are referring to? That will help to exactly explain how the according metric is calculated.

best regards.
