Sensor scan 1 second after first scan

Votes:

Hello,

I made a Custom Sensor with Powershell and it checks if a certain value has gone up from the last check. The deal is, that if it generates an error, the scan after would be OK again. I set the Scanning Interval to "Check every 2 minutes and immediately set to Error".

My problem is, now everytime the value has gone up the Sensor sets itself to Warning, for whatever reason, and makes another check just a second later. In other words the sensor never falls into an Error state.

Can someone explain this behaviour?

Thanks!

As soon as PRTG retrieves an erroneous sensor result (i.e. a down state), it immediately queries again to make sure it's not a false negative and only then starts the notification timer.

This behavior cannot be disabled.
