Obtain Parent ID Through API

We are monitoring a large WAN with many nested levels. I'd like to be able to obtain the object ID of the parent group of any device and subsequent IDs of the parents of groups as I trace the hierarchy of the device all the way back to the probe. Any suggestions for the proper API calls? Thanks in advance!

Dear DexterSlab

This example demonstrate how to get the parent ID:

/api/getobjectstatus.htm?id=1001&name=parentid

That did the trick! I was looking for an object property. Strange that the parent ID would be a "status" of the device.

Thanks!
