Hi All,

i have a Problem with Re-Discovery of HP ProCurve switches.

First Time i Discovered the Switch without any patching except Uplink.

I Only have 6 Sensors for my Switch.

Know i completly Patch die Switch, but by Re-Discovery the 6 Sensors stays.

If i click on Add New Device the complete ProCurve get´s discovered.

I Actually have about 60 Sensors.

Is there a way, to automatically let all my Switches RE-Discovered, oder manually to let them Re-Discovering.

Except from deleting the Objects and let them completly new Discovering?!

Kind Regards.

Rene

Dear rriede

Please make sure that you entered the correct credentials in the device object's setting tab. Once this is done, right click on the device name and re-run the auto-discovery.

Are you now getting all sensors?

Thanks for your response.

I´m sad to answer, No.

My Problem is, that if i delete the Device and discover it new, there are many more Sensors.

If i try to Re-run the auto-discovery only the, for example 6 Sensors get updatet.

Dear rriede

Before digging into log files, please let me know if you can manually create the other sensors on the existing device. Is that possible, or are you getting an error message?

Hey Arne,

Thanks for your Quick Response.

I´m able to Add Sensors manually, i don´t get an error message.

Most of the Sensors get the Status: "None", some Sensors get the OK Status.

But i don´t get this Sensors by Auto-Discovery.

Dear rriede

If you get an unknown status, those sensor would not be created by the auto-discovery. That is intended. Beside that, you can create a sample device, store a device template and use that for further auto-discoveries.
