Restart after upgrade

Whenever I upgrade PRTG to a new version it reboots the server when it is done. I would expect it to ask if you want to reboot now or later, not just reboot the server with no warning. Is that how it is supposed to work, or is there something wrong with my installation? Is there a configuration option to change it?

P.S. I think you're going a little overboard with the captcha thing, I've had to do it three times already.

Hello there,

Yes, it is like this, when starting update process from the user interface. If you want more control over it, don't start the installer from the interface, instead head to PRTG's installation path, subfolder "download", there you find the installer that was downloaded by the Auto-Updater. I would recommend copying it to a different location and run it from there to avoid file locking situations. If a reboot is required, you will be asked then about it.

Kind regards,

Erhard

Great, thanks. I tried to give you an upvote but my reputation is too poor. Appreciate the help.
