Hi, I have a PRTG install onsite thats working fine, BUT I also want a lot of the devices that it monitors adding to another system we run at another site, is there a way that does not involve me creating all the devices twice I can use, any way to export and import the device list, im not fussed about historical data or anything, just a way to save me having to create them all again :)

thanks.

Hi Stuart,

You could simply copy "PRTG Configuration.dat" from one installation and throw it into the other one, ideally version numbers shouldn't be too far apart. It contains all the devices, sensors and their settings. You find the file in PRTG's data path, which would be "C:\ProgramData\Paessler\PRTG Network Monitor" in case you haven't changed that.

Just make sure to stop PRTG's services before exchanging the configuration file.

Kind regards,

Erhard
