PRTG Network Monitor Install issue - Themida

Hi all, New user and attempting to use the trial version of PRTG Network Monitor on a Windows 7 box.

After accepting the terms and on the 'initializing license' section, I keep getting a popup for Themida:

an internal exception occurred () Please, contact [email protected]. Thank you!

After pressing o.k., there is a runtime error around "Cannot open file <userdir>\Temp\...random filename...tmp"

Unable to move forward past this after 5 attempts, including restarts and running as an administrator. Any guidance, is there a way to pre-load the trial license from the website in a file somewhere to avoid the problem if that's all it is trying to do?

Please let me know, is your question about PRTG in the cloud, or PRTG on premise? The latter uses an installer executable available here.

Are you installing PRTG on a computer which has internet access, or on an offline computer?

PRTG on premise, using the executable from the link. The computer does have internet access, but may have certain corporate restrictions around external calls.

Dear dhartford

If the system is sufficiently hardened, installing PRTG can be difficult. On a standard computer, the installation should go through smoothly.

As an alternative, you can try to take the computer completely offline for the being, and run the installer. If that does not work either, please install PRTG on a standard Windows Server, or Windows Desktop computer.
