Suppress Auto-Update Probe Notifications

Votes:

Is there any way to automatically suppress or pause all the notifications that happen after an auto-update.

Currently after an auto-update we get dozens of notifications from the probes all going down and then coming back. This is noise and causes false-positives in our on-call alerting system.

Possibly there is some way to suppress all notifications for x minutes when PRTG starts-up in general?

Thanks! -Bill

Dear Bill1000

Since PRTG does not know what happened in the meantime, meaning if the sensor was up again, the down status is considered a new down and the notification is triggered again.

This cannot be disabled by a simple setting. In principle, you could manually pause all notifications prior to a manual update, and after the update, wait a while and resume those notifications. However this is not recommended, if just for the reason one could forget to resume the notifications.

In order to reduce the number of notification emails in general, please consider to use the notification summarization setting.
