Hi there, could anyone please shed some light on the debug error Couldn't aquire Softlock - Class TOctCheckWMIVolume (508)

I have no idea how to resolve it and this is the only error data i can get except PE015. This is also affecting CPU WMI sensors.

Hello Samuel,

The softlock error message is for internal debugging purposes only, it will be removed in PRTG 17.x.34.x and above. Basically, it indicates that the establishment of the connection or the query itself took too long.

Did you already install the most recent version of PRTG? There are some major improvements and the PE015 error should not appear without a reason. If you already installed the current version, we recommend to follow this guide to configure the systems to support WMI.

Best regards, Felix
