Hi Peter,

Ah, sorry, I overlooked that we fixed an issue for locations not properly updating in version 17.3.33.2686. Please update PRTG, it should be fine then, otherwise please let us know.

Kind regards,

Erhard

Hi Erhard, thanks for your reply. You can try "Washington" or "Manhattan, New York 10036, USA" for example or anything else, doesn't matter for my geomap :/ it's all located on the same spot near africa.

Is there are way to troubleshoot this? Can i check if PRTG can connect to the map service somehow?

Best regards Peter

Hi Peter,

Hm, both work fine on my end. Which PRTG version are you currently running and which map provider is configured in Setup | System Administration | User Interface | Geo Maps?

In current versions, PRTG reroutes by default map requests to Nokia maps, due to changes in MapQuest's terms of service last year.

Kind regards,

Erhard

We're currently running Server Service: V17.3.32.2478 and map provider is configured to "Standard".

Thanks Best regards Peter

In this case I would suspect an issue with the internet connection then. Do you require a proxy to get online and is it configured in Setup | System Administration | Core & Probes?

Kind regards,

Erhard

There's no need for a proxy server in this environment. I can reach the Internet via Internet Explorer without proxy and there is also no proxy configured in Setup -> System Administration -> Core & Probes
